Who runs this website

This website is run by AMB Plumbing and Heating, based in Holt Park, Leeds LS16. You can email us at ambplumbing2000@gmail.com. Our current contact details are always on the contact page.

What we collect, and why

The contact form

When you send a message through the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and your message. It is stored on this website and emailed to us, so that we can reply to you. We keep it until we delete it.

Online booking

When you book a boiler service or a bathroom design and quote visit, we receive your name, your email address, your phone number, any notes you add, and what you booked and when. It is stored on this website and emailed to us, so that we can confirm the booking and come to you, and you are emailed a confirmation. We keep it until we delete it.

When a booking asks for a deposit, you pay on a secure page run by Stripe, the payment company. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach this website or us. We see that the payment was made, and how much.

Who looks after it for us

This website is hosted for us in the United Kingdom by British Web Design, who process the details above on our behalf and deliver the website’s emails. They do not use your details for anything else.

The forms may be checked for spam by Google reCAPTCHA, which looks at how the page is used to tell people from automated programs.

Cookies

This website sets two cookies that every visitor needs: a session cookie, which keeps the website working as you move between pages (and keeps a booking together while you make it), and a security cookie, which protects the forms from being misused. Neither is used to follow you around the internet.

The website’s own count of visitors does not use cookies.

If we switch on Google Analytics or advertising tags, a banner will ask you first, and nothing from them is set until you accept. Your answer is remembered in your browser, and you can change it at any time.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR) you can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them or delete them, and object to how we use them. Email us at ambplumbing2000@gmail.com and we will reply.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may change this policy from time to time. When we do, the date at the top of the page changes too.
