Boiler servicing and repairs

Yearly boiler services you can book online, and repairs when your boiler lets you down. Gas Safe registered, based in Holt Park.

Why have your boiler serviced?

A boiler that is looked after runs better, breaks down less and is safer to live with. Most manufacturers ask for a service every year to keep the warranty valid, and the Gas Safe Register recommends a yearly service too.

A boiler service usually includes:

  • A check of the boiler, the flue and how they are fitted
  • Gas pressure and flow checked
  • The burner, heat exchanger and seals checked, and cleaned where needed
  • A flue gas reading, to check the boiler is burning safely
  • The safety devices and controls tested

Boiler repairs

No heating, no hot water, a boiler that keeps losing pressure, makes a noise or shows a fault code: call us and tell us what it is doing. The make and model of the boiler and any code on its display help us come prepared.

If your boiler is losing pressure, our guide to boiler pressure explains what you can safely check yourself first.

If you ever smell gas, do not wait for us: open the windows, turn off the gas at the meter if you can, do not use light switches or flames, and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999.

Boiler questions

How often should a boiler be serviced?

Once a year. It is what most boiler manufacturers ask for to keep the warranty valid, and what the Gas Safe Register recommends. Many people have it done before the winter, when the heating starts working hard.

How long does a boiler service take?

Usually about an hour for a standard gas boiler, a little longer if it needs cleaning out or a part changing.

Do I pay when I book online?

No. Nothing is paid online for a boiler service. The cost is confirmed with your booking.

Leak, no heating or no hot water?

Call for an emergency call out anywhere in North Leeds. If water is leaking, turn it off at the stopcock first.
